The Hotel Show Colombo 2025, Sri Lanka’s largest and most influential hospitality trade exhibition, was successfully held from July 25th to 27th at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre (SBMEC), BMICH. Organized by the Sri Lanka Hospitality Graduates Association (SLHGA) in collaboration with CDC Events, the event brought together leaders, professionals, and innovators from across the hospitality industry for three days of inspiration, collaboration, and industry advancement.
The event was ceremonially inaugurated by His Excellency President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who attended as Chief Guest, along with Minister of Tourism Mr. Vijitha Herath.
With over 300 exhibition booths and more than 200 exhibitors from both local and international markets, Hotel Show Colombo 2025 attracted thousands of visitors—including hoteliers, restaurateurs, tourism operators, suppliers, and investors. The wide range of exhibits showcased the latest in hospitality technology, eco-conscious solutions, sustainable linen and housekeeping innovations, and gourmet food and beverage offerings, all reflecting the renewed global interest in Sri Lanka’s tourism potential.
A highlight of the event was its impressive lineup of concurrent competitions and showcases, including the National Barista Championship, National Room Stylist Challenge, Bar Champs mixology competition, National Tea Masters Cup
The organizing committee was ably led by Mr. Travin Gomez, Chairman of the Hotel Show Committee, who worked in close partnership with Mr. Pradeep Liyanage, Co-Chair of the committee. Their dedication, attention to detail, and industry expertise played a vital role in curating a world-class event. Supporting this effort was Mr. Patrick Perera, President of SLHGA, who provided strategic leadership to the broader SLHGA team, ensuring that the association’s mission to uplift Sri Lanka’s hospitality sector was reflected throughout the exhibition.
